Fret dressing tip

    Try using an automotive feeler gauge as a fretboard shield when dressing fret ends. Easier than taping off the fretboard or using a special tool. The thinner the better.

    But you need to employ two hands. The fingers with holding the gauge will obstruct the crowning file?

    Nice way to jack up a nice set of feeler gauges. I'd only do this with a beater set.
