I'm watching it now. Pretty good footage, but not what I think of when I think of Fleetwood Mac. I like the weird out-of-phase tone of that Les Paul.

I've loved that band since I first heard Then Play On in 1974

Peter Green rightly gets praise for his superb playing, but he was a great singer too.

hard to compare the two imo... personally I like the Peter Green version of FM better even if the Nicks - Buckingham version was loaded with talent as well. But these guys were good.

The Peter Green version of Fleetwood Mac seems to be the favorite for other guitarists to listen to, but the songwriting of the Nicks-Buckingham version to my ears was 1,000 times better.

Anyway that's the joy of music, there is room for us all and I don't see it as a contest.

AND....Peter Green on a Fender....always think of him on his "magical" Les Paul.

I'm a fan of the Peter Green/Danny Kirwan era, especially for the blues rock they were pushing out but there is also great stuff after Peter left when Danny was leading the band that was excellent. If you like the more Buckingham-Nicks style you'd probably like this (apologies if you've already heard it a million times.) Danny was able to stand toe to toe with Peter in the blues world, play killer arrangements of old-time Django/Eddie Lang-styled arrangements such as Jigsaw Puzzle Blues, as well as write some beautifully melodic songs. A massive talent and someone who falls through the cracks when folks speak of the various incarnations of the band.

I was just reading about that guitar yesterday, when, for some reason, I decided to check out Gary Moore's Wikipedia page.
