    IMG_2965.JPG IMG_2813.JPG IMG_2814.JPG first time I have built a guitar and copy of rick parfitt's 59 telecaster.
Painted with nitro like the original in white primer, dark blue then Olympic white.
With use of hair dryer and plumbers freeze spray got the cracking sorted.

Checking looks pretty good and it appears to have a lower-gloss patina, which would be good. The gouge looks kind of out of place to me, though.

For realism I try to match wear areas to 1) the most common areas that touch/bump against items that wear/damage the finish, and 2) logical player-touch abrsaion area.

FWIW wear along the front/bottom edge, to me, seems odd, along with random wrinkles and things that would not appear with age.

Just some things to think about for the future.
