I'm gonna have to check on Snopes to see if this article is true or not. There seems to be an agenda.
Oh wait, how can I trust....

I like sun and warmth and beaches. I would not be happier there. Works for them though, and that's cool.

I guess the traffic problem does not exist, that's where the happiness starts;)

It's amazing they're so happy when their weather is so awful. It says quite a lot about what they
    must be doing right.

I know someone from 6 of those countries who live near me and who I see socially. All of them are relatively miserable and struggling with depression. Question 1: are these nations exporting their unhappy people? Question 2: Are these people unhappy because they are away from their 'real' disneyland? Question 3: Is it racist? Question 4: Is their happiness the result of schaedenfreude? Question 5: Should we imitate them or should we blow all of them off the map? Question 6: (I call this the Texas question) Are those countries just happy because they, you know, have someone to rely on?

We just came out of a snowy deep freeze.

There is much water that still needs to melt and come down the river.

Nah, it’s not the snow that makes them happy

    :)

I could write you a 100 page story about Finnish miseralibity. But it will ruin our reputation, so I'll just hush up. And btw, if we're feeling miserable, how the heck are the another ones doing?

Edit: Is this even a word? "miseralibity"

Associating the weather with happiness isn't exactly smart.
Last time I have checked Venezuela and Syria had marvelous weather,so does 90% of Africa.

Things like free health care, infrastructure, democracy, free education, job stability and opportunities, culture, financial growth, solidarity and security net,low crime rate and a state/government that actually serves its people and not vice versa are way more important.

IN reference to another thread, there must not be many bassoonists or classical violin soloists or pedal steel players there.

I like winter with lot of snow much better than hot summers. You cannot espace from the heat, but you can cope with coldness by dressing up properly. And when I was a little boy, making snowmen and castles was the greatest fun on earth. In my profession, sleeping on a tent or just under a spruce (in sleeping bag, of course) with -20c temperature, that's just magical!
