Took me a while to get around to finishing this tele up. Work obligations caused me to keep putting it off. Super happy with how it turned out, with it being my first build and all. All-Parts Neck and body. TRO-V 62 Custom Body finished with Duplicolor Jade Green Metallic. Wanted a British Racing Green/Dark Sherwood look. Metallic was a pain and I probably won't do it again. But I got the color I was looking for. Neck finished in ReRanch amber. Everything top-coated with Watco Lacquer. CTS pots with cloth wiring. Orange drop .022 cap. Fez Parka mod. Wired with a four way switch. Had Nate Sanford of Sanford Magnetics wind me a set of pups. Neck is nice and full and bridge is very Broadcaster like. Very rock and roll. They sound great together in series and parallel. A5 mags, plain enamel wire. Needed to shim the neck with a .25degree stew mac full pocket shim to get the action close to playable. Kinda bummed with that but the shims are great and save a ton of time. It's barely noticeable and I can't imagine it having any negative effect on tone. Not that I'm a good enough player to worry about it. Other then that the neck and body worked out pretty well. All said and done it comes in at an even 8lbs. A little heavier then I would like but, oh well. My next build is going to be a strat and I've decided to go with USACG. They're local and come highly recommended. Thanks for all you who post on the boards. I lurk and learn a lot. It was fun to do this start to finish and it certainly won't be the last.
