Been a rough April/May in New England with lots of cold and rain. Beautiful sunshine today and I have blossums on my apple trees-
Tree.JPG Gala on the left, Macs on the right. For the first time since I planted them (9 years) both trees have a lot of flowers. Hoping for a strong apple crop this year.

We're suppose to have our first 80 degree day here in the middle of the mitten... it'll probably snow next week.

Edit: 80 tomorrow (Saturday), not today. Oops.

Spring started two months ago. It's the weather that hasn't caught up.
Glad I don't live up north anymore.

Spring is practically over here; we got the A/C reactivated at school, and monsoon season is just around the corner. Pretty soon we will at the stage where it’s almost chilly if you sit still but you’ll break a sweat brushing your teeth...

And then green mold starts growing on anything that doesn’t move...

I had breakfast on the front porch this morning for the first time this year. We've had a few warm mornings before today, but we had robins in a nest in a small planter we'd hung on a post and we didn't want to disturb them. We haven't gone in and out the front door for more than a month. The nest was very well protected from weather and a great place to fledge the young. The nest was empty yesterday. My wife and I were sad and happy at the same time. It's springtime now for sure.

I was laughing and gay when it meant something entirely different. Not that there was anything anything wrong with that.
