I had one and sold it because it was heavy. I'm sorry I did. Fabulous pickups and great neck. I'd pay $500 for one. If you can get your hands on it to try it and you like it, it is a bargain.

I think so. I've been keeping an eye on them for the last year or so, and @tooloud has the price down. Around $600 - $750.

If it is the alder body version, that's a fair to nice price - but watch out for worn out frets, a less than straight neck; busted truss rod. This kind of thing.

If it is the ash bodied version, that's well below current prices.

The Texas version has a 21 fret neck, vintage tuning machines, ash body; that's what you got in the Title heading. The non Texas version probably outnumbers it 15 to one and it has an alder body, 22 fret neck and stock, it has die cast tuning machines, and the vast majority of the For Sale Highways are the alder body version. The price differential is about $ 200, between the two versions, but I think it will get to be more.

I had a Texas Hwy 1. Very nice Tele! I eventually traded for an American Standard. Both are nice Teles.

$500 is what I paid about 5-6 years ago for my highway one strat. It's my number one guitar. I actually have two of 'em..
