Does anyone have one of these? The specs look tantalizing, but I'm curious about the pickups.
MF has these on sale for $499.

They're still on sale, which makes me wonder, "why"?

I bought one used on a whim because of the color. It was a nice guitar, and well built, but I just didn't bond with it. I don't really know what to compare it to sound wise. I needed to replace the speakers in a 2x10 so I sold it before I really gave it a chance.

THere's some pretty impressive videos on YouTube with this guitar. Pickups seem legit.

I guess with the Blacktop line gone, there's got to be some way to scratch the HH itch.

I would not assume it is too good to be true or too good to pass up. I'd find one and try it out and see what you think. Some of ya'll may have one of these in your future.

Great guitar, I just got one, and for $399 blemished. It sounds terrific and a steal for the price. I believe the blemish to be that it was a return, although if you hold it just right there is a tiny indent the size of a felt tip pen point. The other thing I noticed was a set screw on the low E saddle was backed all the way out and perhaps was not noticed by the original buyer. That produced a sloppy buzz.

My guess why it's on sale is they haven't sold well and since it's a special run they need to go. It's really a workingman's guitar with a little splash of color. Any value added would need to come from your hands and soul.

Just noticed this was an older thread, forgive my trespasses.

I think it says "modern C ". I've played that shape and like it good. Shoulders roll off relay easy and it's not to thick or thin.

eye have a black one, doesn't come with case or gig bag, has a belly cut, coil split on tone control is okay but switching back to humbucker mode just seemed louder , fit and finish good , it did not bond well with 59 bassman ,twin or deluxe reverbs or blues jr, but it sure did like my ac30c2 with celestians, was thinking of switching bridge plate to a 3 saddle one [found one on ebay , 3 screw instead of 4 screw ] but hasn't been a priority, eye'm gonna keep it but it's not overly tele sounding [humbuckers , apples and oranges eye guess]
the green does look good though

This is very cool, but if I had one, it couldn't be my only telecaster; I'd still need one with the classic pickup/bridge configuration.
