I was looking for a small tube amp recently to accompany on jams and I ran across a Pro Junior at a GC. It's an amazing little amp that weighs 20 pounds and puts out 15W with two AX7 preamp tubes and two EL 84 power tubes. It now resides at my house in Florida and goes to the jam sessions with me.

Pro Jrs are loved my many. Haven't played my in a while lately. Been playing some jazz lately and need more clean headroom, but I love the sound of the Jr.

Congrats! I have a '90's era US built PJ with upgraded preamp tubes and a Ragin' Cajun. Have fun with that little bundle of rawk!

I haven't had mine long , it's a recent pawn shop find , but it gets used often . Simple , like a Telecaster , volume & tone control & sounds great.

Great amp - I love mine.

    Jeff Beck has played them.
    Greg Koch has played them.
    Jackson Brown has played them.

    You're in good company.

Are they just plug n' play or do people swap speakers, tubes, etc.?

Just like any other amp, it's plug n' play if you like the way it sounds.

Mine is as it was when it left the factory , I like it .

With the guitar turned up , it's got some dirt , with the guitar turned down , it's clean. I usually have the amp turned up to 3/4 or a bit higher and control the tone / level at the guitar.
