They're called collectibles.
Hell, everybody's in on it. I went to a friend's house the other night and they had a pack of GoT Oreos.
What cookies have to do with the Game of Thrones, I'll never know. They did use the GoT font on the packaging, though.
The perfect guitars for Silicon Valley VC types to hang as decorative trophies in their office.
As in 'an expensive wall hanger'?
Good luck to whoever buys them, but if I had that much disposable income I'd be hunting for a Broadcaster
I don't know how it is at your house but Sunday night we choose a whiskey
and munch on some oreos
I heard the voice of Comic Book Guy when I read that.
I know nowt aboot GoT, but whisky! Gimme Lagavulin and teh Talisker.
The Fender Comedy Shop - having a laugh since 1987.
I would rock that Tele, but that price is car territory.
Meh. There's a guy selling a Kid Rock guitar on Craigslist right now too.
Shouldn’t the Tele come with a detachable headstock?
GOT guitar … why not ?
Hmmmm. They look to be designed with the same taste and restraint as that employed when designing those British Knight running shoes in the early 90's.
Judging by one dragon balanced on their nose and the other lying on its back when in playing position I'm going to assume these are designed solely to be hung on walls and not actually played.
They're stupid. Really. I realize that it's difficult to be creative, and also difficult to come up with really beautiful instrumental designs, so the shallow approach of just mashing up two "themes" is a convenient pretext. These are just objects, and if someone thinks that a TV show is so really exciting that they want to be reminded of it when they look at a guitar, $25K worth, well, fine for them. I think it's just sad myself -- and I like GOT plenty, by the way -- but that's just me. Well, and most people, honestly. On the other hand, getting GOT imagery laser-cutter burned into the surface of my Strad is OK, right? I mean, I love GOT! It's an enhancement, right? Yeesh.
I have the Lagavulin "House Lannister" 9 year old, it is very, very good.
This guy prefers a less fancy model
I've bought the Johnny Walker White Walker. It doesn't have an age on it, but it compares favorably to Johnny Walker Black.
