So... I really need a new guitar but I can't make up mind. I've narrowed it down to 2 guitars a Fender classic series 60s strat or the Epiphone BB King Lucille. I really want a strat because I really want a tremolo and i like the 5 way switch. But I love the bb king epiphone because it has some sweet tones and I just love the feel of Les Paul's.

If it were up to me, I'd take the Lucille. Every one I've ever played has absolutely blown me away. That being said, you really can't go wrong with a Classic 60's Strat.

Looks like you've got a win/win situation on your hands.

Two different beasts there. But both very good guitars!

The classic series are nice! Even though they are relatively new, you see them used all the time for a decent price.

I havent seen very many listings at all for a used lucille...

I am definately a fender kind of guy, but in this case I have to go for Lucille.

I think it depends on what guitars you already have, because it's always nice to have a variety of tones within reach. I couldn't live without a whammy bar, but I love the Varitone capability of the Lucille. BTW, the Lucille is pretty heavy.

I currently have a epiphone Les Paul. Really not to crazy about it but... I just love that bb king tone and I also love those strat tones.

Do you have a strat? You mentioned you have an Epi LP. If so, you've got humbuckers covered. If you don't have a strat, that's a classic tone you really aught to have in your tool box. And the 60s is a nice strat.
If you have both, then I'd go for the Lucille as well. The variac will give you even more Tones to work with.

I don't have a strat... Yet I don't know I really want the classic series 60 strat but the Lucille is such a sweet guitar. I might just get the 60s strat and replace the pups in my les Paul with something similar to the bb king ones.

I think you just answered your own question. Buy the Lucille. If you do anything else, you'll still be jonesin' for the Lucille. MHO.

Here's your answer. Time for Lucille, when you find the Strat you want, you'll know. And, if you're anything like me, you'll be broke :(
