Nope. But I have a Marshall emulation in my ME 80. I used it. So, here it is! Two one shot takes, quick, dirty, wild, inclusive mistakes.

No highlight regarding guitar playing and arrangement, but I had fun. I hope you will have a little fun while listening to it.

    Hi Ullrich,

I'm listening to yours now. I like the slide work and everything seemed to get tighter by the time you got to the second lead part. I like the whole thing. :)

I'm a big fan of hard panning left and right. It's how a lot of the recordings were on LP back in the day. Especially the old country stuff.

Very nice twin lead guitars Ullrich! Your Marshall emulation sounds pretty good

Mike, are you shure about track 4 :?: ? I mean, 4 minutes and just one chord? No mistake? This is the most challenging track we had in the whole history of the TDPRI monthly jam :D !

Shane, Mike, thank you for listening and commenting. In fact, the two guitars are not panned quite hard left and right; there´s a little rest of the other direction in both tracks.

Not true Ullrich ,it's two chords, A and A7  but I'm sure I will marvel at what ideas everyone will come up with their versions .

Nice playing Ullrich! May I suggest backing off a little during the vocals though?

Oh, I did. But maybe not enough? In the end, it was a question of time. I wanted to finish that track yesterday; during working-week I often do not have the time / power to be creative. Next weekend also will be short of leisure time (family affairs). As I said, no highlight of arranging a song :).

Maybe play less (as opposed to quieter) during the vocals?

Yes, I know what it is like during the weeks... Since Christmas break was over, it's been hard finding time for this.

This month's tracks will be quite a challenge for me! I'm also still a bit hung up on that swing track. I will have to study your take on that. I think you had some really good lines where I struggle to find anything worth playing over bars 9-10. Then it's just that I can't play fast like you...

I know. But I recorded the slide guitar in one shot. Then I found it was too much during the vocals and silenced it. This again was too quiet. The only really solution would have been to re-record the slide guitar with different settings depending on with / without vocals. And here the lack of time came in. As I said: poor preparation / arrangement.

There is only so much time, and we can't put it all into this! :)

    Nice Ullrich!

I was toying with idea of pulling out the slide on this one for a bit here or there. Mainly for the reason that I just plain suck at it and figured this one might be a good one to work with it a bit. But just little bits and pieces...

Well done, Mike. I like those thrown-in lines during the vocals; and then, about past 2:40, you are in top shape.

Just listened to yours Mike, I love the sound you are getting with GR5. I agree with Ullrich, it really picked up at the halfway mark of the song. The mix is good on this too.
