Did you ever check out the flip side? It's Thery're Coming to Take Me Away played backwards!
I saw these guys live in one of those Calvacade of Stars shows.
The got so big they headlined MTV's rockin eve party around 1982.
These guys had a great first album, then the band blew apart.
Here is a good one
Jacki Lomax... 1 album produced by Apple (the Beatle's... not the other Apple). good voice and some really good songs. then he faded
One band I'm in covers this ancient hit by a localish band
Fastball's single entry into the Hot 100 top 40 wasn't The Way, it was Out Of My Head. So, still OHW, just not for the song they're known for. And one more in the top 100. But they did hit 12 different charts. By then, Billboard had way too many ways of slicing and dicing their data. Personally, I prefer:
The Way is a great song, but like many dramas, I don't need to hear it a lot. You're An Ocean is a lot happier.
Yeah, The Producers had a lot of great songs, and should've gone places.
I'm very amused that Rocky Burnette, son of Johnny Burnette, of all people, would have driven jackinjax to oldies stations, given his pedigree. Sure, Rocky did his share of cheese, but some other great stuff, and he played in the last iteration of the Rock and Roll Trio.
I just had chuckle on Youtube and thought I would share this,
this is a band I worked sound for at a Vancouver punk rock venue called the Smiling Buddah, some twit lit my shirt on fire while i was mixing sound , so I grabbed his beer and put it out with it , and he had the audacity to complain because he didnt have any more money for beer.the Bouncer at the Buddah was Egor (7' tall and had the IQ of a door knob)
I was in on these recording sessions at Ocean Sound but didnt engineer I have the original cassette of this and a CD copy framed and mounted in the studio I dont know if they got radio play or how this got onto Youtube , But I found it amusing, does it classify as OHW I dont know,
they did a double bill, the Actionauts are the same band as the Avant Guard Dogs no changes at all
Another great one.
Wore this album out back in the day.
Another Girl Another Planet - The Only Ones

Pop Muzik - M
Magic Potion - The Open Mind
Uh, hell yeah!
Rockin' Rusty Burns, RIP.
Saw em' on my 18th B'day, opening for Johnny Winter.
They were the headliners, IMO.
Tighter than tight!
