Today at work we were talking about bands/acts that we expected great things from but it just never materialized.
I thought it might be fun to make a O-H-W compilation.
Not suddenly I can't think of any more. All I have so far is:

Tony Carey- A Fine Fine Day
    Robbie Patton-Smiling Island
Redbone- Came And Get Your Love

Jenny came to mind immediately. He used to live in Portland, Oregon. Had several friends that used to gig with him.

Big Daddy stole my thunder on Looking Glass, I play that tune when I'm alone at home...for obvious reasons.

Lordy i had forgotten about that song completely. I remember that the intro sound a lot like Start Me Up, although i really don't know which came first.

Molly Hatchet was awesome. I had all their album.

Does "Smoke From a Distant Fire" count? Gosh I love that song.

I've always had that one around in one form or another,( 8 track, cassette, cd, MP3 etc...). It currently comes on right after Warren Zevon's "Roland the headless Thompson gunner" on my iPhone playlist :)

I really think the intro sets the hook so to speak .
