I forgot to mention Reverend Horton Heat.... ( Jim Heath ) he can smoke a guitar.

He wasn't just Taj Mahal's guitarist, he played on a zillion sessions including the tasty playing on "Last Train to Clarksville" by The Monkees. He did studio sessions and played in live bands including Jackson Browne, Clapton, Dylan, Marvin Gaye, Willie Nelson, George Harrison and John Lennon.
The man could play anything...covered all kinds of styles. Sadly missed. He died too young and for all the wrong reasons.

You're damn right about that! He's equally good in the blues and folk genres and some of his slide playing could even be mistaken for Ry Cooder.
