    Jim gets plenty discussed here.

Hank not so, though he's one celeb that I occasionally see around town and at guitar stores

Not sure if mentioned, I love Stephen Malkmus. His playing style is so cool, lots of weird tunings that make familiar chords sound a little bit "wrong". Doesn't play a tele, mostly a strat but he has a wicked tone too.

John Cippolina; Quicksilver Messenger Service. Just listen to the crazy, nasty snarls from his guitar in The Fool.

+1. He is a fantastic player. Love love love his work.

Also, I'm not sure if he was thrown in, but Wendell Fergueson is a very unheard of, under-discussed player. He has fantastic feel and timing.

He may have been mentioned, I didn't read all of the posts, but you don't hear much in the states about Bill Nelson. I love his older recordings with Be Bop Deluxe..."Sunburst Finish", "Modern Music", "Axe Victim", etc...etc...

In case he hasn't been mentioned, Richard Thompson is a guitar god. Unique and compelling style, so much talent.

He's become one of my favorite guitarists since I started listening to him a couple of years ago. He's amazing, and it amazes me how little attention he gets.
