    something interesting about PUPS

    both pickups are surface mounted.

if you wanted to convert the 2 pickup model with cutaway to a neck pup only jazz guitar, it would leave just three little holes where the bridge pickup used to be.

I just put a Bigsby on mine, and now it won't fit into the Tric case. What case are you using, Mickey D?
Any advice on what to do? Surgery on the case? Find some other archtop case?

I used a B6, plus eBay roller bridge, but kept the bottom part of Godin's original bridge. Tuning is stable, tone is killer, but only with 12-54 strings. With 11s I found the tuning to be unstable, and the tone way inferior.

Please........y'all don't jump on me and start spitting on me and kicking me but........

I tried out the model without the pickups when it came out (excellent price to be sure) and I was sooooooooo sad. I so very much wanted an archtop hollowbody.
It completely disappointed me. It had extremely little volume. My Big Baby Taylor was light years louder and richer.
What really pissed me off exponentially was the edging/finishing on the "F" holes. It looked like a dark brown shoe polish complete with runs and drips. I just handed it back to the store manager and said thank you and walked out. It was the Cognac Burst (no pickup) model.
This, however, looks promising. I will give them a second chance. The price is unbeatable if it has good craftsmanship! I ended up with a '69 Thinline Telecaster in mahogany 2 tone sunburst. Don't get me is slick as a baby's ass and one fine guitar, but I still long for that elusive archtop. Wilson

I looked at Godins recently when I was looking for a P90 equipped archtop but I ended up buying this mint condition 1966 Epiphone Century for $800.00 (you can find these regularly for around that price) and it is in every way a far better instrument than all of the Godins I tried.

I tried one out yesterday and it played very well. I found the neck a bit small and cramped, but I can adapt to any guitar. If I didn't have a p90 equipped hollowbody Epi Casino, I would seriously consider one of these.
