I've got me a 5th Avenue, and I love the thing to pieces. I ended up installing a P-90 of my own to the pickguard, and some "stealth knobs" from Stew I've got my own version of the Kingpin, I suppose. But...from all the things I've read on the 5th Avenue and the Kingpin, people have been hoping for...this!

    Enjoy and discuss ;)

I dunno...I almost think I'd rather have it w/o the p'ups...Does look cool, though.

Looks good, but that cutaway doesn't do much for me. Also, the body depth of 3" is a little thick for a 16" body, but I'm just nitpicking. I love the Sadowsky Jim Hall:

But then it's about four times the price :(

    Robert Godin.

Listen...somebody's playing The Hellecasters in the background...

That thing looks like fun. The 5th avenue without pick ups is available for £299 at some places I've seen. Perhaps this new model won't stay too expensive for too long.

Yeah, that's a GREAT LOOKING GUITAR! Here's an image from Elderly:

    Street price of $995.

Godin and company are making some really sweet stuff these days.

i love this, but what i'm really smelling for me is "used kingpin" when these babies hit the streets and all those folks who really wanted a bridge pickup want to trade up!

godin (la si do: seagull, la patrie, norman, etc.) represent the absolute best bang for the buck going in the guitar world, IMHO.

Nice! I Frankenized my Gretsch 5120 with a non-bigsby tailpiece and 2 Lindy Fralin P90s. I suspect the Godin is a much nicer guitar though.

Didn't need to see that...looks REALLY nice...the wine red is perfect (if you toss the pickguard, imho). Have to find one of those to try this fall.
