None other than Robben Ford. I used to think that teles were only for country rednecks and beer bellied old farts that wanted to be like Keith Richards. Then Robben made me realize what incredible depth there is in the telecaster, a simplistic beauty and yet a seemingly unending array of tonal nuances that no other piece of gear can ever get close to.

For me, it would have to be Jakob Dylan during his Wallflower days--I instantly fell in love with that 1963 esquire.

I saw Jason Isbell live with his band this week and if I want't already a fan of Telecasters, I would be now.

His tone with his sunburst double-bound Masterbuilt '62 was astounding - into a Vox ! (I think)
I didn't know that I particularly liked the Vox sound, but I was in heaven.

For me it was definitely Jimmy Page.

I also really dug the playing of Marc Ford and Rich Robinson from the Black Crowes.
