One person for me... Mike Bloomfield. Hearing him play with Dylan at the Newport Folk Festival is what did it for me.

Arlen has a built-in B-bender for every axe he plays!! Sweet! Wish I could afford a Louis Electric amp....

First one I saw must have been Hee Haw.
I bought mine because of Wilko Johnson and Bill Frissell.

Springsteen's modified Esquire was all it took for me. I wanted one from the moment I first saw it on the album cover of Born to Run. IMG_0691.JPG

I know it was mostly acoustic, but Eddie's work on the movie "Into the Wild" was awesome. Love the movie as well.

Agreed. I never wanted a Tele until I saw this in the "Classic Albums The Band" program.
That was the moment that changed everything for me.

I was a member of The Pirates fan club in 1977, they were quite something live ! 3 guys tearing it up. Videos on youtube for those who'd like to see.
Saw Mick also in Liverpool in 1974? when he was with Shanghai.

Growing up in the middle of nowhere about the best we had was 8 tracks, albums and cassettes. Didn't have cable until almost out of high school. Honestly if not for cheap pawn shop guitars we wouldnt have had any, and I only had a glued and screwed flat top anyway. I saw Waylon in 1989 and he was on stage with his famous tele. Loved the look of it but not as much as the LP. As I learned more I realized the tele was the guitar that gave the twang tone to most of the older country I love. But in all honesty it was Brad Paisley that finally pushed me to buy one once I got back into playing after my 15 year hiatus.
