This guitar is my first Tele. I've had it for over ten years.

It has had tons of different finishes, PU:s, a Bigsby b5, you name it!

I've even routed the body like '67 Smuggler's Tele, for a weight relief!

This time I Esquired it, with a ceramic PU, from Mexican STD Tele and it came out really nice sounding (totally different sound, than Mex STD).

I Esquire'd one of my Teles years ago...still an Esquire! Installed a Fender Esquire pup, steel compensated saddles and a Eldred mod (cocked wah) control plate. It is one of my favorites....

Did the same to a VM Squier. Few upgraded parts,a 52 a prewired control plate and maple Mighty mite neck and she's easily one of my favorites. 1505849218349.jpg

I'm interested in trying a V profile neck on my Squire Affinity. What do I need to know to pull this off - sorry about my thread hijack!

Looking for v profile check out all parts necks or Mighty Mite. If you want higher quality Warmouth will make you one yo your specs. The one on mine is a soft v which does take some getting used to from a standard C profile but once you do its great or least was in my case

    Great Esquire there, fun guitars.

As for the MIM STD pickup, it makes a great Esquire pickup, IMO even though I didn't like it in a two pickup guitar.

Did the same with my old 85 MIJ.
Got a pup from Fezzter and a wiring harness from RSGuitarworks.
    Sounded great.
You can always find something to do with an old or seldom played guitar.
    Nice job.
