is it possible to put an eric clapton mid boost kit in a telecaster or would it have to be a nashville tele?

You could put one in any Tele but you'd have to route out a rectangular section to drop in the circuit board.

Just rember on a Tele you only have 2 knobs...on a Strat with the EC setup you have Volume, TBX Tone, and the Boost Blender pot. If you stick with 2 knobs, I would get rid of the TBX Tone pot and just use the Vol and Boost Blend. You could add a third knob between the other 2 on the control plate though. Before you cut into anything on your guitar ...make sure you plan teh whole thing out and know what your doing ahead of time...mechanically and electrically.

A while ago I put a new body on my EC Strat. I was tired of looking at the old Pewter body and changed it to an Allparts 2 color sunburst. Here's a pic of the 2 bodies before I routed the the new Allparts body. I made a paper tracing of the rout on the original body and used that as a template to transfer to the new body. Then routed the new body exactly like the old one. Also had to route a section on the back of the guitar where the battery fits on teh EC Strat. In a Tele the battery will most likely fit in the control cavity.

What Tele do you have? You might not need to do any routing if the pickup cavity is big enough. But then, I've never seen the mid boost circuit board...
