I want to build an echoplex preamp to color my sound. I have found the echoplex schematics except the actual EP-3 preamp is running at 18volts. The EP-pre and EP-booster run at 9 volts so I won't have to find another adapter.

So can anybody help me out?

    Thanks guys!

The EP Booster is not actually an EP pre-amp.

Apparently Brian at Mad Bean dealt with this 18v issue in his Fat Pants
Echoplex styled booster. Check out the Madbean site for more
info, as I believe it can be run at 18v.

You could add a charge pump to get 18v from 9v.

MadBean's Fat Pants includes a charge pump right on the board, so you supply it with normal 9 volt power, and it creates its own 18 volts. Easiest route to an EP-style booster I know.

I like mine. Sounds better, and is more flexible
than the EP Boost I had and sold.
