I also have one in a Blues Junior III and a good improvement.
Broke mine in for over 40 hours with music playing and still
didn't care for them at all. Super loud and sounded like someone threw a blanket over the amp. Might be good for a jazz rig though.
Lol, why wouldn't you just hook them up to the stereo
OP, if you can’t dial in a better tone for you via your amp’s bass/treble knobs, I really doubt your problem is the speakers. Like someone else mentioned, they might be out of phase or something. Or there might be something weird with your circuit.
I have the Eminence Hempdog (Rex’s steroid-using cousin) in my DR, and I tend to keep my treble around 6 and bass around 3-4. That’s with single coils.
Is it still an issue? Have you tried several different incremental EQ settings on your Pro? Update please.
Hi,I found the problem,,,it was my EQ pedal causing the loud hum,,,even when it was turned off,,I disconnected it,,problem solved,,it wasn't a expensive pedal,,,maybe that was the reason.
I love a happy ending! Enjoy.
Break them in and if you still don't like them, go with the Texas Heat...great bluesy Fender tone with a touch of British Invasion to it. A great speaker for any Fender amp.
Thanks,I,m going to keep that in mind for down the road.
