    He is one of my Favorite singers. The first person I ever remember singing and I liked that was famous. I have 2 Elvis rooms in my home. Gold records, watches movies you name it. That album was great. He was raised in the church.

    Greatest voice of the 20th and I m not really a fan.

    I curse Col. Parker to this day for destroying the promise the Sun Sessions showed.

    I could write a huge post about Elvis and how fine most of his music was. but for now i'll just point out that in all the parody and mockery, what always gets lost is what an excellent singer he was. utterly in a class by himself.

    Our local PBS station will be airing an Elvis Presley show tonight that focuses on his gospel songs.

    It's a swedish hymn. Elvis said sometime it's his favorite song.

    he won 2 grammies, one for the orginal and then again a few years later for the live version.
