Ok, after many requests, I learned how to do this video thing.

Not a great recording. I only have an old iPhone 6. It's kinda bright and brittle to my ears, does not sound like that in the room.

Also, LOTS of hum as the gain goes up due to my knob and tube house wiring from 1942.

But it is what it is. One take, just noodling around off the top of my head.

Sounds good Jake, it's very clear and articulate and seems really responsive. I like that you can really dig into it and there's not that immediacy of sound like on some other solid state amps.

    Love that Nashville too!

    Yes Jakedog !
Your video beats out the DV video and the Frank Gambale video.
This is the first time I can really get an idea of what this amp sounds like.
I like the cleans and the gain.
    The reverb sounds good.
    Nice playing too.
Thanks for taking the time to do this.
    I'm impressed.
I don't understand why a company with such good product doesn't take the time to really showcase their stuff.

I'm guessing we're not a priority. Meaning North America.

I think their business is probably booming everywhere else. They just aren't in touch with how marketing and consumers work here. I recently tried to find contact info for their rep in charge of the US, and all I could find was a MySpace page. MySpace? I actually laughed out loud.

Maybe not, but I guarantee that your demo sold at least one amp for them in the States. Thanks Jakedog!

That's about AS much amp as you can get for under $500. And for those who need/want light weight, it's seemingly unbeatable.

That said, you're right Jakedog, the cleans are not Fender. That's a + to some and a - to others. I like 6V6/6L6 Fender cleans. I wouldn't prefer it over my tube amps, just my opinion and I'm not saying I'm right.

But id take the DV over my USA Redstripe Bandit. That's my band practice amp, I play it a lot as I just leave it there, and do like it. But the DV has hands down a better dirt channel. Better than any solid stater I've ever heard.

I watched the videos on the DV web site and thought "meh".

I watched yours - recorded through a phone no less - and now I'm really impressed.

Well done, Buddy - well done.

Thats an eye opener! I noticed when your turning up the gain it still retains the clean twang with it and note separation, reminds me of when I ran two amps one clean one with higher gain together.
    Thanks for planting the seed.:)

I'll try to do another vid tomorrow and see if I can dial in a bit more of a scooped Fender tone. I tend to consciously do what I can to avoid it. lol.

Is the speaker actually angled up? Hard to tell in the pics. Thanks.

Very slightly. Not enough to be beneficial on super small stages, but if you can get in front of it a bit, it definitely makes a difference.

Man. If they did a 2x10 (or even 2x12) I’d be all over that thing. I bet it would still be under 35 lbs.

They showed these exact channels and preamp in a new FG head at winter NAMM. It's gonna be 150 watts at 8 ohms and 250 at 4, and will weigh in at around 4lbs.

They also have these speakers in an ultra light 2x12 cab. They also have an ultra light 2x8 cab.

Nice! Tell 'em Jakedog sent you! They won't have any clue who I am, but it'll be fun.
