it looks like a tele with low self-esteem
I predict there will eventually be more than 500 posts in this thread: more than one for each DC Tele!
That's nasty and not in a good way.
Oh yeah. I'd hit that with my parish priest watching.
Good timing on this thread coming back. I just purchased one on Monday. It's like guitar equivalent of a rescue dog. It's got some self esteem issues but learns to bond well with its new owner.
Harley was a rescue dog, so he approves!
Just say hell yeah! Awesome body style...only way to make it better would be to slap it all on a Jazzmaster body and call it a Jazzcaster or Telemaster!
Yay! We have those too and I have one inbound!
Yes... I have then exact TC - 90 pictured and it it is a wonderful guitar. I bought it new and would not trade or sell it.
Ok, I guess. No hate. Maybe asymmetrical horns would be better. Or would it just be a strat then? <shrug>
It took me 40 years to get hot for a tele. Don't expect me to warm up to this anytime soon.
The pickguard gives it the illusion of asymmetry, but in a bad way. If the top horn were bigger and the pickguard was more like a Strat's it would look better. It'd look like a Strat with Tele hardware.
Just not as cool as a regular tele. Still kinda cool.
Hate is such a strong word, but I think it applies here.
I'm a card carryin' single cutaway guy.
Leave my Teles, Pauls, and Chets alone.
One cutaway is enough.
Glad I could clear that up.
Hate this abomination, and Bloomfield's too...just wrong.
1. Extreme hatred; detestation.
2. The object of detestation, a common signification in scripture.
The way of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord. Prov.xv.
3. Hence, defilement, pollution, in a physical sense, or evil doctrines and practices, which are moral defilements, idols and idolatry, are called abominations. The Jews were an abomination to the Egyptians; and the sacred animals of the Egyptians were an abomination to the Jews. The Roman army is called the abomination of desolation. Mat. 24:13. In short, whatever is an object of extreme hatred, is called an abomination.
Couldn't agree more..
Yes, I abom it, then vomit
Oh my heck!? Quick, glue it back together..... is that even legal? (It shouldn't be.......)
