I decided to take a busted up MIM body and try to make a double cut. The neck was also a purchase from kijiji. It is a Mighty Mite. First time working on this so some mistakes but it sounds good. Pickups are SD vintage Broadcaster in the bridge and a Dimarzio Twang King in the neck. The bridge is a Rutters Bridge.

It looks like the cut of the top horn is a little deeper than the bottom one.
I like it though, gives it an offset/asymmetrical look.
I would definitely like to see more pictures!!!

That's a nice Bluemfield style Tele you got there.

Nice job. I like the double cut. You made something cool out of a run of the mill Mexi-tele.

I always gag a little when I see those... not because I don't like them. But because my father in laws brother who bought a 1956 tele brand new took a jig saw to it and cut the upper horn in because he wanted a more "strat like" look.

I think the guitar is still in the family somewhere, but nowhere near as valuable as it would have been had he not chopped it.

Of course, the OP's was a "busted up" MIM.

Don't know that it's my favorite look. But at least you did a good job of it, unlike the guy who butchered the Bloomfield tele.

I took the upper horn off my Strat copy cos I wanted a Tele looking guitar. Totally regretted it cos I think it looks stupid. Gonna try to reinstall the horn when I get around to it.

Impressive, great idea if they market it.

This is almost the look of the '56 I saw that my Dad in Law's brother cut up. White guard and a bad horn as well... could me almost the same guitar.
