Anyone have experience with Dillion guitars? Particularly their 12 strings? I'm either waiting until I find a Crimson Ghost Schecter Stargazer 12, or until the white model comes out in a few months, OR thinking about one of these:

With hardcase they go for $790 on Ebay direct from Dillion Gtrs. Read lots of great reviews on many of their guitars and they seem to be pretty well respected in the "replica" guitar biz.

    Thoughts?

Hmm... a 12 string with a whammy... do you enjoy tuning?

Wow! Wait until John Hall's (Rickenbacker CEO) lawyers get their hands on those guys! :D

I think John Hall and John Dillion used to be in a band together back in the 60's, so...

As for the tuning, that raised my alarms as well. I've read a few reviews on it and haven't heard of that being a problem though.

    This is no small concern.

Truth be told, no one could properly do a cover of Echo & the Bunnymen's iconic The Killing Moon without a tremolo-equipped 12 string like Will Sergeant's lovely red Vox, but as a Ric 360-12 player myself (natural detuning, in every strum!) I don't think I'm ready to dare something like have a non-fixed bridge on a 12 string of any sort, for fear of the obvious.

But don't let me detract you from the beauty of the possibilities!

    Behold the tone. Both then...

And 20 years later, same charming Vox.
