...that I would totally fall in love with my Tele. I mean, I'm a Strat guy, right? I wanted a Tele because I love the bright sound and such, but this thing has just wormed it's way under my skin and I find myself playing it way more than I thought I would. I wasn't supposed to like it this much.
    Just sayin'...

Welcome to the club. Happened to me too. My main strat is a Clapton model. It doesn't get near as much play as my least used Tele now. Every now & again I play a Strat but the Siren's call of the Tele always lures me back. Love the simplicity and the variety of tones.

I have both, but the Tele’s see a lot more playing time.
You gotta have both, and maybe a Jazzmaster, just for fun!

Well, I did buy a HH Jag, but don't like it near as much as the Tele.

Same here. I just had the one Strat for over 12 years before I got my Tele. Had that one a year now and it's really grown on me. I still love my Strat, but my Tele's got it's own space it fills in wonderfully.

me too man. I've been playing that green tele so much that the finish is wearing off the neck in places, and I just built it last year.

Yeah, a Strat is a great guitar but it sounds like a Strat. A Telecaster can sound sweet, bold and downright nasty with the flick of the selector switch.

It's OK, we won't tell the guys over on strat talk. Looks like that strat has got some good playin on it. The tele does somethings no other guitar can do. So does the strat. Your really do need both to get all the fender flavors. Enjoy 'em both.

Yeah, the Lake Placid Blue just knocks my socks off. Same with the Sage Green Metallic. When I saw that Strat I just knew I had to have it. Not an ounce of regret on either one. Jury's still out on the Jag...it's gorgeous with the Surf Green Pearl, but it doesn't move me like the Tele. (yet)

It happens. My treasured 2004 AmStd Strat has been used little since my AmPro Tele arrived. My first decent guitar was a MIM Tele................guess it’s s’posed to be, me and a Tele

Strats are the training wheels, which lead us to a Telecaster.
