Did Fender use "Fuller-plast" on maple necks …

    … before they shot nitrocellulose lacquer on them, or was it just used on the bodies?

    Just on the bodies.

    Never seen any evidence of Fullerplast on any Fender neck I've ever held.

    Does the fullerplast have a tint, or is it clear? Does it sand, or do something else, different than the nitro lacquer so that you can tell that it is there?
