I'd love to follow it up with a build thread. We'll see how the money goes. And it does go. go, go, go... I may try it out on some scrap wood just to verify though.

Gentlemen, for your perusal and peer review.

Thanks to the info from all especially jaydawg and casual_reader.

It is a D-sized print for the body profile and routing. This is Revision A, as more info is obtained I will update as needed or wanted.

excellent! Only missing the tummy and forearm contours, but as we say in Portugal "nevermind the teeth of a given horse!"

    Thanks, GhostofJohnToad!!!

Well, I also posted this on the offset guys site and apparently the routes are off. So please be careful with this until all things are straightened out.

Not sure if you are using Adobe Reader or something else like Foxit but if you use the Snapshot tool (both Adobe and Foxit have one), you can pretty much define any area you want to print out.

In Adobe, to turn on the Snapshot tool so you have the icon on the tool bar, goto Tools->Toolbars->More Tools and scroll down to nearly the bottom.

I stacked them to see... the differences come from the shorter scale

jag in blue - jazz in red

that might be fun to draw up

jaydawg's double bound is pretty sharp too

You'd better believe that I will be making use of this pattern somewhere down the line.

Pink sparkles with checkerboard binding...hang the contoured body!

    Chief engineer... Attain Ramming Speed!

    I found it.

    http://www.makenmusic.com/product.cfm?prodID=1165&catID=1

    Price: $6,079.00

and before you scoff at the price, realize that it has two stealth pickups under the pick guard... apparently wired with a gold-platinum alloy and bathed in nitrogen for extra superconductivity.

i have an original 64/65 jazzmaster that i can contribute in getting dimensions and pictures if wanted. i don't know how to go about measuring though. can only do in metric also, as i'm not really adept in inches.

not unless they have webspace to host it... you can't upload those formats here.

They might email it to you though.

Rhino does import PDFs, if that's what you're using.

I jsut imported the Vin62 Jazzmaster into Rhino 4.0, and saved it as *.dwg, and *.3dm. So if anyone want that, email me. I't also like the routing layouts. Do any of these posted pdf's have that info? Thanks.

I probably would never build this guitar, too many roll pots and stuff. But cool to have a file on it. You never know.

ah - you caught my "where am I?" mispost before I edited. I was thinking of that site and another thread when I mentioned the double cut LP Jr. There is a dwg and dxf of a jaguar at that site, but it doesn't have the routes either and doesn't overlay well with the Fender PDF - whatever that means.

Check GhostofJohnToad's pdf post above - though he thinks there might be a problem with it?
