If the nut is plastic, I would change recommend replacing it with a slotted unbleached bone nut. You'll be happy you did.

Sorry, did not take any pics, but pretty straight forward. I just cut plugs of a maple dowel to length and glued them in and the re-drill
straight in. Worked well. For the most part you can not see it, but I will touch up the parts where bare wood shows with black paint.

Plan to just do coil split. I toyed with the idea of series parallel, but these pickups with that kwik plug don't see to be
    capable of doing that.

Would require a little surgery from what I see to do a split on those. Then again I only like that on the bridge pup so would only be one for me,different strokes

ok, so basically done. I ended up just cleaning it up a bit and filling the worst chips.

Here are some pics. Keep in mine, the goal ended up being to make it playable again as opposed to a
restore job. Has new pups+pots+switch, bridge and tail, knobs and tuners. Nut will be replaced later.

I'll post a sound sample video as soon as I get time to edit it together. I think it sounds pretty good :)

Hey Rick, It sounds pretty good to me, but to be totally honest, my ear is not the "critical".

I really can't hear some of the subtle differences in tones etc based on cap values and coil splits etc.

I'm sure they sound different, but unless they are playing at exactly the same time where I can hear them, I can't tell :)

It lives!!! For clean humbucker sounds, I think you'd like .022 caps and 500 meg pots best.
