Marty did a bluegrass album years ago. It’s called Live at the Ryman. It’s one of my favorites.
I was just thinking of working up a Tom Petty song with mandolin in it this morning. I could have the steel player on acoustic guitar and I could play mando. This is given me ideas.
That's a great version Marty and the boys did there!
Think about it, four ringing strings in every double stop! Also, just a trivial fact in case you ever wind up on Jeopardy: Johnny Cash was the first to scratch his name into the top of Marty's mandolin.

What can you say? Those guys are the best.
Me too... I enjoyed the first part of the video... then, when Marty went into that mandolin solo it was like space/time bent and things got fuzzy.
