I’ve owned my CVC since ‘11. No complaints except for maybe the allthread bridge barrels. They seem to deaden the B and E strings after a bit. Change strings and they are nice and bright for a few weeks. The only thing I can think of is the allthread is pinching those strings (.009”).
When the barrels are changed for brass who’s barrels are used, compensated or otherwise.

    It's not the saddles.

All strings and especially the wound ones die after 8-10 hours of use.
If you want a nice twangy bright sound you need to change them often.

    Dead on Nick.

Waste your money on some new saddles & repeat the procedure & see what the outcome is.
