Hey fellas! As you all know I am very fond of Classic Vibe Teles. I have waited several months for Sweetwater to get a CV Thinline in stock with a flamed neck and today it finally went down. It took me only seconds to get on the phone with my guy there and grab it up. My CV 50's (BSB & VB) have flamed necks as well! [IMG][IMG]

Congratulations Yos, you're pushing me over the edge to follow up with a CV 50s Butterscotch on top of my CV 50s Vintage Blonde; undeniable good value!

    Do these have 4-way?

Beautiful guitar, but if it was me, I would so something really stupid like sand and dye that neck to bring out the flame more.

I know, sounds crazy, but at that price point, I would do it.

Congrats! The thinline is my favorite guitar from the highly praised Squier CV series.

No, but my buddy has one and he did a 4 way mod the very day he got it

The 4 way mod is awesome...my MIM came like that...and there are more than one member here who does it on all their guitars. But for some nutty reason, it seems to be stock on very few Fenders.

That 4th position in series brings you into incredible rock/crunch territory, even with what many people claim are these kind of underwhelming single coils. (I don't mind underwhelming, since I'm underwhelming myself, and I play mostly clean.)

You got a beautiful guitar...enjoy it! But before you do any fantasizing about changing pickups to get this sound or that sound, do the dirt cheap 4-way first.

My Thinline is my first Tele to have it, and I'm blown away how this simple wiring can improve the tonal options available to you.

My buddy swears by it. I believe he said it was pretty smooth to do. I do know that he had to extend the pickguard switch line with a file

    Another thing:

Your guitar is the guitar that made more sense for me to buy 6 months ago than my CAR Fender Thinline. (See my avatar.) Plus, I freaking LOVE the natural finish on yours.

I only bought my labeled Fender because at this point in time, I wanted to own at least ONE. I already have Squiers, partscasters, and cheap Rondos.

I have a '15 American Standard... and I am blown away by these CV's.. for me, I would rather have 4 CV's than 1 USA Standard/Pro... I was about to complete my goal of getting all 4 CV Teles, but I had to have this Strat. I mean come on, look at the flame on that neck!

    I know. I know.

But I'm 60, and I wanted at least one Fender only labeled guitar to throw into the coffin with me when they lower me into the ground.

I figure I'll wear a pink shirt and white pants.

Nice. Which one gets more attention, the butterscotch or the blonde Tele?
