The teleconference didn't come on the second as the organization said. I didn't follow-up because I figured I'd wait until the guitar was in my hands. Marc should have it in the mail already so I will re-engage after it arrives.

    I'll post a demo-video when I get it.

As far as the tax write off's are concerned, I know that the organization qualifies as tax exempt and donations are tax deductable under their 501(c)(3) status. I will discuss with them what the process is and whether they have to issue a receipt. If they do that would mean they have to break down each individuals expenses on seperate receipts.

    With that said,
If you have made contributions can you post or pm your expenses and labor so I can build the final list.

    Thanks

I thought I would bump this thread by letting everyone know that the reason I did not get my part done was that my wife was battling cancer. That battle ended at 3:30pm central time Wed. 23rd of Feb.

Thank you all that prayed for her.

    Mike

Thanks guys. We laid her to rest this afternoon. 200 pink balloons went skyward carrying her last request..."Meet me there". I can tell you that was a special moment.

Has anyone heard whether or not this project is finished as in delivered?

    Mike

    Mike my deepest sympathies.

I have the guitar. I've actually been able to contact one of the guys at "the .org" on the phone once but it was cut short by a meeting he had to be in. It's been surprisingly difficult to get them tied down to giving me any instructions to proceed.

Still waiting on Mark in Nashville to get any info back from the celebrity endorsement option. This will be a nice feature but I don't think we will delay a delivery for it since we don't need to hold it for any longer.

I still want to put together a demo video so everyone can get some experience of it. But beware: note my tag line in red below.

Thank you for your kind words and for the info about the guitar. I would love to see the video, and trust me, with the arthritis in both my thumbs, playing anything for me is painful. I hope to start making them hurt more often now. I am going to have plenty a void to fill and I might as well fill it with practice.

    Mike

I have written to Vince Gil (thru his fanclub site) but NO return mails yet. & I will try Paisley this week. Their pretty hard to get addresses for - Paisley at least has a manager here in Smashville, so I'll try that on Wednesday. Not sure if Cpt. Ryg wants to come to Nashville or not, but I'd love to see the finished guitar in person. It looks like a dream to me.
