Here we go!
Well ? It's been an hour and 15 minutes already. . . .
Nosmo's in! Looking forward to this one.
Just one question though... The challenge lasts for about 8 weeks, what are you going to do for the last 7 weeks after you finish?
Twisted sounds interesting... Then again... maybe just because my mind is twisted!
You try'n to get me DQ'ed already? Don't tell anybody, but I've been working all morning. Cleaning the shop. I can almost see the floor
I'm just hoping work will give me a week or two off to build something. When I am home, it'll be pretty hectic.
Ah ha! Got one interested. Don't want to give anything away yet. It might not work
Your shop has a floor? I should be mowing my shop floor today but it's raining.
Good luck and be safe.
Bout time we had another Nosmo. Maker of my favourite guitars.
Good to see you're in nosmo , good title BTW
Yeah, I probably would have been better off moving my weeds today, but I'm chomping at the bit to get started.
High praise from someone with your talent. Thank you.
Thanks Herb. I"m going to give it a shot. Pretty simple, straight (well, not really) forward build. The title is literal by the way.
Good luck nosmo. I'm sure it will be an interesting build to watch.
Are you making a twisted neck?
Oh, I didn't realize the proof of start posters haven't been posted yet. I think it's legal to clean your shop before, but just in case, I'm not starting to do that yet. I've been legal for the past 5 Challenges, by that criteria.

Yeah, but you know how Murphy works. The damn Kraken or something will erupt from the sea floor, and we'll need everybody like you who knows how to fly them underwater gizmos to fight 'em off. For 6 months. Or some other weak excuse to tear you away from important pursuits.
Now that would be awesome. Tricky to play, but absolutely awesome.
No. The neck will be straight. I hope.
Rick - I haven't seen the Kracken in months.
I was going to write more, but I'm on my phone in a pub and I forgot what you wrote.
Good luck Nosmo! Will be watching what the twist is!
Darn, I thought you were going to do something like this: http://www.bas-extravaganza.nl/?page=bassen&BassenID=27
I'm sure whatever you are doing will be very cool anyway.
Wow, that's wild. I could probably build the neck, but I have no idea how to put the frets in something like that. And leveling them? Fugetaboutit.
They might even tell you how to do it in that article, but I'm a little rusty with my German or Dutch or whatever. I guess I'll have to leave that one to you
Edti: I'm a little rusty with my English too
I didn't even think about leveling the frets! There's a few threads about making twisted necks on talkbass.com's luthiers corner. I assume at least one has instructions.
I'm interested to see what your twist is.
Patients my dear
