Time is slim, but I just can't resist this year's categories.
The real challenge will be keeping it simple!
    Cheers!

That's the truth right there. In fact just grab anything and play it for us while we wait for this build to get rolling.

Chris I did laugh out load when you said simple. Although I have no doubts you could make a simple guitar incredible. How's the family? Last we talked you had something exciting in the works.

Thanks, Roger! I deeply appreciate the inspiration and encouragement.
Yeah, I'm already way over-complicating this in my head.

    Hey James,
Now I'm laughing at the thought of you laughing!
Family is good! Haiti got it's Hague accreditation, so we're moving forward. Should be some time over the next 6 months (hopefully not in the next two...but that's the selfish Chris talking...haha).

    Hey Rob!
Well... with a name like Cabezota....you know it's gonna have a reverse headstock:eek:

    And... I'm off!

(kilter....but I'm off to a slow start as well...)

    Materials:
    • Spanish Cedar for the body
    • Ziricote for the pickguard and fretboard
    • Maple for the neck
    • Western Maple for the top

You can almost see a hint of the body shape on the maple top...

    Cheers!
    Chris

So far, I've mainly just worked on templates (yeah, those templates... the one's I thought I wouldn't bother making since I never seem to build the same thing more than once...)

    Ah well...
Here's the neck all dressed to impress as it awaits its date with the belt sander:

And this is what we call "close enough for gub'ment work":
I really just want to know it's flat, as this side is getting radiused anyway... (There's a hint in that...)

The other side gets a much more thorough cleaning:

And, man! Am I ever happy that I could fit a tele headstock on this board!
