With Vincent Crane! (Crazy world of Arthur Brown)
The late Ronnie Van Zant of Lynyrd Skynyrd on July 9, 1976 in the middle of (or after) the recording of the "One More From The Road" 2-LP set (now on CD, of course). I have more images but I don't have the URL bookmarked.
RVZ before the Fox Theatre shows in July, 1976. These shirts do not exist publicly. Ronnie just apparently went somewhere and had "
" put on a black t-shirt which he wore onstage at one of the shows.
In regards to the Fox theatre shows in '76, those are three Skynyrd shows from the original band that I would love to see on a DVD!!
Ok, these first three images are from a magazine (People magazine, I believe) interview not very long (about a week) before the Skynyrd plane crash. Also, sadly, this was the last time that Johnny Van Zant would see his brother alive.
The second picture is (from L-R: Johnny, Donnie & Ronnie)
Third picture: somewhere in the upper northeast in concert in 1976/1977
Fourth picture: Gary & Ronnie after Gary's automobile accident during Labor Day, 1976 which would delay the tour schedule and give Steve Gaines the third guitar slot in the band. By the time that they recorded "One More From The Road", that would be Steve's fourth appearance and first album appearance.
