That word seemed rather randomly placed, and best ignored.

Then again, do firearms groups have trigger warnings?

That first post was way too long to read through.
I noticed the words Facebook and something about butthurt oversensitive types etc.
That's just to be expected from Facebook imo. One of the reasons I avoid it completely.
Maybe Facebook was just triggering you intentionally via their mind control, subliminally?:)

Do you mean to say that you can choose not to belong to Facebook guitar clubs?

We have one for the band and it’s just a mess of random stuff. I avoid it.

Facebook want people to be engaged and have an algorithm to promote things that engage people

The thing which engages people most is rage

The software is effectively promoting discord, even if they do not mean it to

    Viscious circle

Compare that to a cafe that hangs a picture of a telecaster over its door and has bouncers to throw offensive people out

This place got it right. If I ever open a cafe it would have a picture of a telecaster over the door, just as a good omen

I quit a Fender owners group because the admin was a whiney little snot who got really bent out of shape if you indicated a disdain for Yngwie Malmsteen, or mentioned another brand, or even if there was another brand of guitar shown with a new Fender amp, and would thus kick you out. Zealotry & fanaticism are the express lanes to nobody wanting to share or play with you.

Ok I undrstand all that you have said. But also I do not understand why the myth 1 club, 1 guitar, and 1 model? Who came up with that one? It is not a Facebook rule. You get it at every club. TV clubs too. Lets bann him. I am so mad. We cannot talk about Silver Spoons. It must be 3's Company. I still obey the rules. But a lot of people not me get banned by breaking a rule they never knew exsited?

2 I here the word Snow Flake alot and I had to look it up. I never knew what it means? I read it means entitlement? Is that corrrect?

See my point. I'm old and do not understand such things? Did the mod drive to 10 buildings in the 1980's run gas out to talk about 1 brand and 1 model of guitar. Then say I'm leaving you you asked about the Teisco Spectrum 5. Read the rules on the book we give you. I've read it. It did not say anything like that?

I will never start my on club. I'm used to fourms like this. And no crazy people here. Lets bann the guy who asked about the Arbor LP. It will not happen. Is it because I'm older and I do not get people younger than me? Or people just like to talk about 1 model of guitar, and brand all the time?

Their is a club for every one. A few clubs allow you talk about any guitar pedal etcc. But then it has to be a certian price. Cork Sniffen guitars. Cheap 500 or less guitars. Junky Japan Guitar's no one wanted etcc..

Some folks create an identity associated with their guitar or amp. They "club" up with others who feel the same way. It becomes a social requirement. It then becomes the basis for feeding the ego. Threats and challenges are taken personally, because the association is personal. You see the same behavior with sports teams and their [identity-stricken] fans, and, ah hem, other popular activities where folks get carried away with being on a team, club, group as an identity. At the root, there is manipulation for profit or control.

So you are interacting with a concentration of folks who are attracted emotionally to that identity. You will get a strong reaction when you don't concede the superiority.

That is deep. To deep for me. We need more Frasier and Niles Craine.

I wonder how those same “purists” feel about a non-standard Telecaster, whether actual models made by Fender (Elite, Deluxe, Custom, Modern Player models, etc.), or foreign-made models (Japan, Mexico, China, Indonesia, etc.), or reissue models, or even somebody like me who modifies the crap out of their instruments?

90% of the things I’ve done to my main (Mexican-made) Telecaster would have me banned from many, many groups.
