So I was hoping someone can help me... I want to put regular sized humbuckers in my 72 deluxe mim tele. It currently has two wide-range pickups in it
If someone knows if and how I can do this please help!
    Thanks

You’ll need a new pickguard, but otherwise yes.

Also, those are regular humbuckers just crammed into a WRHB housing. They’re not actually WRHBs

Thank you! I thought so but I didn’t know if I could buy the case things (like on a Gibson) and they fit into the pickguard? Yeah I know, but want to upgrade and would prefer smaller pickups if I could!
    Thanks for the reply

I have seen some adapter rings for WRHB to standard. But they’re ugly.

The Chris Shiflett telecaster pickguards will work, as that guitar uses standard sized humbuckers.

I like Widerange pickups but it's your call and WD Music always seem to me to be the most reasonably priced.

Yep..WD Music will cut you a pickguard. I did it to my 72 custom. More importantly, measure the depth of the pocket. The mounting brackets on the regular pickup, maybe to long. I had to do a little work in both sides of the pocket, for the mounting brackets to seat flush. Warmoth make's deluxe bodies for both wide and regular. Notice the two little deeper routing holes on the sides. Here's a link to show what I had to do to my custom. Best to luck to you.
