there's an awful lot of "if it doesn't sound like an old telecaster into an old amp it isn't valid music" in this thread, and seriously, half the time the music people make with that sound is boring as ****.

You won't hear that from me. I don't play Telecasters.

I don't either. I used to, and have recently, but the Tele doesn't suit me. I come here because it's a great forum with a lot of great and well informed people.

No color, but 256 shades of gray. That would make quite a pedal board!

Me neither. I like some of the sounds others get with Teles, I like a lot of music made with Teles. I don't like to look at them or play them. If there was something that made Tele sounds without being a Tele I'd maybe be interested.

maybe one of those offset teles? i'd be super into one if it had the offset trem and a different neck pickup. or maybe i just want a jaguar with a tele bridge pickup and baseplate on it. six of one, half dozen of the other.

As semi-pro swing/gypsy jazzer, I don't use any pedals. Not that I couldn't, they just tend to not fit the music like a straight guitar tone does.

In the past when I played rock and pop, pedals were absolutely required. I own well over 100 pedals, though my board is currently down to 7 :)

I was really into the Meteora...until I played one. Disappointed. I love offsets though. Jags, Jazzmasters, all that stuff. An offset Jag-like body with Tele bridge and pickup might be okay for me.

I'm going to see Buddy Guy next week. I've seen him every time hes been in town since 1991. I'm certain he'll be playing a strat into a wah(that he uses for like 2 songs) into a cranked Bassman type amp. Like always. And he rips it up!
