I've posted this amp here before, but I've done some work on it since and thought I'd share the results. It was beat to holy hell when I got it in the 90's and I played it that way for years. The baffle was warped so bad it was bolted in at some point, and the cab eventually got pretty rickety, so this past year I got a new cab and baffle from Mather.

I had one Weber 10F150 8 ohm 25 watt and stuck it in the bottom.
The WGS Veterans are pretty light weight speakers and so.........
I do believe I'll make the slow change over to two 10F150 and two 10A125 to add more depth to the amp if that is even possible LOL !
Yep and a lot more weight too.

Here's mine. 1965, I have all the original CTS ceramics but have since swapped two for Weber 10A125s. Currently running Sylvania-made, Groove Tube-branded 6L6GC-STR387s in the power section. F29B90DF-74C4-4FCB-BC1E-84A0A91C972E.JPG

Here's my 1966. The pedalboard has changed, but the guitar, amp and old FD2, havent. Thats the magic combination IMO. I swear by the old Eminence/Fender blue frame alnicos. Two of these are from 1999, two from 2003. Best sounding 10s I've ever had, and I've had many. They're just hard to find and expensive.

Hmm. Interesting. I wouldn't mind shedding a few pounds, but I'm not really a fan of speaker breakup. Any chance you tried two of them paired with your 10A125s? That's the setup I was thinking of going with, but now I'm thinking of just springing for 2 more 10A125s to make it a quad.

Exile, I did indeed hear them together as I replaced them one at a time.
To be 100% honest the Veterans just didn't have any bottom end control and so cleans were gone pretty quick.
I played the amp the day the last Weber arrived while the last WGS was still in there and then swapped out the WGS with a 10A125 that had arrived, HUGE Difference just losing that last low powered speaker.

What would I do different you ask ? well.... I have to say I would do all 10A125 and leave the 10F150's out, in fact I may sell them later and go with all four 10A125.
