Building my first neck , a story of building jigs.

    Hi guys , its been a while i guess earth was on the wrong side of the Sun , i had to deal with the lost of a special person to me , i am slowly getting better and getting back at old loves.

    I need to choose some pup , what do i have hum ... first not pictured twisted tele neck , 3 bridge pup one fender 52 , nocaster and a lollar . For the neck i also have 2 custom pickups they are strat pups in black rope flat top , it almost fit ...

    What should i do ?

    I went shopping and got pots , wire and a electro socket ... and installed the bridge the hole don't match with the plans .

    I made my self a new template for a strat single , i think this will look good.

    I am making progress , now its time for the wiring i will use a 5way switch , i include the drawing originally i think its based on a Bill Lawrence drawing before i tweaked it a little .

    I wonder if i will put a pickguard on it or not ... i went shopping for markers and string trees .

    Wow , i tried my Stewmac polishing pads today one grade at a time and i am not going to need anything else ... that worked great the pictures really not do justice to the shine .

    First i cleaned the hole with drill bit , then i used this clever trick i learned from Guitarbuilder .And last made a tool for the job and lets not forget to use some lube i used wax.

    Great! And those polishing pads are unbelievable, but I guess the Stewmac price is also overboard as usual.

    I guess i would not order only those but in a order With odder stuff its a good buy for the price both sides of the pads are the same grit so its four time the surface i get locally of half the price .

    I still need to screw in the neck pickup , i also need shrink tubing . some intonation ...

    I need to look at the control plate , i may put it in reverse . I will most likely need to reverse the leads on one pickup and choose a capacitor value . And design a pickguard .

    I might have time to get audio today .

    I know a black pickguards would look nice ... i found my shrink tubing and completed the job with a heatgun .
