I'll be the 1st to admit that I'm not a huge Bruins fan but the NE region is totally pumped for this series.

The REAL Bruins fans that I know are the most diehard group going and I say this as a Patriots fan that went to every home game when the Pats totally sugged in the 70's. These Bruins people are nuts and know more about the game than I'll ever know.

Any Tele guys here puck lovers? I'm just hoping for a good series and I think Vancouver fans are as well.

As a side note, I had read an article on the interwebs that Vancouver was happy to be playing one of the orig. 6 teams.

Saw the Bruins at The Garden in December and I'm hoping to make it up to a game this series. Go B's!

I look at it as a win win situation! I'm pulling for Vancouver, but if they don't win, there'll be a really entertaining riot. Those Vancouver fans sure know how to wreck their own city!

...might even get a riot if they do win!!

I don't know how big and bad they'll look - Nucks looked big and physical and fast. Should be a good series. Vancouver in 6

When I was 12 years old I was one of the original members of the Bobby Orr Fan Club.
I've followed the Bruins ever since. I loved them when they won The Cup in 1970,
and I'll still love them when they lose it to Vancouver in six games in 2011.

I'll have the TV on during puppy class on Wednesday. Considering I was a Rangers fan back in '94, will have to cheer for the home team this time.

    Go Canucks!

    Go Nucks!!!!

All patriotism aside, the Canucks look to have the edge, especially on the power play. They just need to get in the Bruins' heads and make them take penalties. If the Sedins run rings around Chara with their tic-tac passing, they'll wear him down. Thomas is a hell of a goalie, but he's human and he'll need to be super-human to stone all 4 Nucks lines especially if Malhotra's back in the game. That right there will be a huge boost for the Canucks' morale. He's defensive-minded and a face-off specialist, and he'll allow Kesler to think offensively.

Luongo doesn't have to be spectacular with a healthy defense and guys like Bieksa, Hamhuis, Ballard and Erhoff in front of him; he just needs to be good enough.

They won't wear Chara down. He is one of, if not the best, conditioned athlete in the game. He'll just toss them aside and take the puck. I give Vancouver the edge but not because anyone will make Chara look bad...and Luongo better be more than just good enough because in the 3 games Thomas has played against them he has given up exactly 1 goal. If the B's have one glaring weakness...who am I kidding, it is a major weakness, its their pathetic Kaberle driven power play.

I think Boston is going to give them a run for the money with their grind it out style of play. Injuries could also help decide the outcome, as both teams have walking wounded in the roster.
