Blue guitars love them or hate them?

The guitar in my avatar used to be a transparent blue that turned green later, but not in a good way. Looked dingy and moldy so I had to redo it Black this time.

I never owned a blue guitar until buying this just a few weeks ago. Blue and 12 string goodness. 1493513535888.jpg 1493513551562.jpg

I like the Strat except for the pickguard

My understanding is that Azureglo was originally a VW Beetle color?

I'm not really a blue guitar fan (although I have a Pignose PGG-100 in deep metallic blue), but yours just looks so right in blue! Gorgeous in fact. I think that binding sets it off a treat.

I like the Lake Placid Blue when it fades to green.

Even though blue is one of my favorite colors (clothing, shirts, suits, ties and even socks and shoes), I generally don't like blue cars or blue guitars.

There are notable exceptions, but I only know those when I see them.

I like the colour black but I can't deal with glossy black guitars at all.

I had seen pictures of the color which were too brightly lit so I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, but once I saw it in person I quickly loved it. The color reminds me of car colors from the 60's. Even the pickguard color works well.

Heritage H575. Quite elegant in person. Mine looks like this, only with darker pickguard, heavier tailpiece.

Here's my mystic ice blue thinline, the color shifts from light to dark blue with your viewing angle.

Blue always seemed like an odd color choice for a guitar to me, for some reason. I don't dislike blue finishes... I used to own a Rickenbacker 4003 in Midnight Blue (had to be midnight blue). And a Fender Jazz Bass in their version of midnight blue (that was just happenstance).

But I always find myself drawn toward guitars with warmer colors (reds, browns , bursts, etc.).

I love LPB, but give me a choice between that and Candy Apple Red, and I'll probably choose CAR.

Love it. I was initially looking for a BSB or White Tele but the LPB AV '64 came up and stole my heart :p
