Just so we don't forget. Chris Cornell was one of those guys. One of those guys who you want to remember what he did and what he influenced.

We will rip the night out of the arms of the sun one more time...

...And all the sky went silent
    Cracked like glass and slowly
    Tumbled to the ground.

Sad loss. He was ridiculously talented in all ways, but that voice! The only singer that could scream musically, and beautifully. So much soul, and you felt it.
One of the iconic voices of rock and roll, as instantly recognizable as Mick Jagger, Steven Tyler, etc...

I hadnt listened to them for awhile but realized there was a show I had seen during the Superunknown tour online so I listened to it and yeah - great band/great singer.

I first saw them open for Neil Young in between Badmotorfinger and Superunknown and they did a jam with a couple of the songs they were working on in it. That's when I first noticed how good Matt Cameron is.

Wish you were still here Chris.

The saddest part of it all is going back and listening to song lyrics that Chris wrote which pointed to his struggles. At the time I first heard some of those songs, I just thought they were "artistic"... which they were, of course. But they were also very honest from Chris.
