I took advantage of the 13% off the purchase of a Bass at GuitarFetish.

I ended up buying a Xaviere PB Bass with Alder body, Ivory finish with a Rosewood Fingerboard.

Hope it is as good as some of the reviews I've seen.

It's going to be used as a recording Bass at home.

For the price I don't think I could have built one that cheap.

I'll try to post a pic when I receive the Bass.

Looks like the PBASS should be delivered on Thursday! I'm on vacation Monday and Tuesday so that's good timing!

Received the Xaviere PBASS today, adjusted the "A" string intonation and tuned it up.
    So far so good!

Under $200, will make a good recording bass..

Reminds me of my Korean Fender Squier P-bass I bought 20+ years ago in a pawn shop for $100. Has served me well when I needed a bass. Slap some flatwounds on and you'll be ready to go!

I was thinking of adding flatwounds, I heard Rotosound 77's are good. Any preferences for string types out there?

Ordered a set of Rotosound Flatwound RS77LD's, found a coupon code and saved $5!
Found a case that was given to me by a Music Store, fits the PBass perfectly! Outside of
case has stains that won't come out. Thinking of trying black shoe polish and using a good brush.

Received the Flatwound's today, can't wait to install them and see what the PBass sounds like!

Installed the Flatwounds, I like them a lot! I always used roundwounds in the past. Makes playing smoother! I guess it probably also saves fretwear.

Don't worry about stains on the case! That's just mojo.

    Cool bass!
I like the Medium Thomastik-Infeld flats.
They’re not cheap, but they feel great, and last years, even with professional use.
    Enjoy!

Bought a Xaviere XV-950 hollowbody at GFS. Blew me away, it is a great guitar. I play it all the time.

    Enjoy your bass!

Thanks, I see some nice basses and guitars at GFS. The bass I bought is pretty good quality.

I picked up one of their Les Paul copies, no problem at all with the name on the headstock. It's a good value.
