Got the mag and really didn't say anything I didn't already know. Gibson scale, 22 fret, Cream T pickups, chambered everything and that FUGLY bridge. Ash bodies with maple tops.

This isn't Billy's guitar but as I think that it would perfectly fit his style
and that some of you folks might like it too I dare to post it here in this thread.
It was shown at NAMM last month.

    Thanks Imageshack.

I will try to repost at least some of these lost pics.

Some of my all time favorites.
The black John Bolin beauties with the Gabor "Snake & Bones" artwork.

    The Rhythmeen Esquire.
First pic is a scan from Billy's book R&R Gearhead.
More reposts of the lost pics coming soon.

Not an Esquire but I love that pic and that Trussart.
    The p/ups are Arcane Inc.
The guitar was lent to Billy when he joined Buddy Guy
    some years ago in Montreux.

I know the guy that pinstriped a lot of his guitars - Kirby Stafford. When Billy's in the area he'll get a call to come out and paint them at the venue. He even did a matching bass for Dusty last time they were in Lexington, KY. He first got to know BFG when he sold him a rat rod he'd built. If you ever see the Billy's rat rod with a surfboard on top, that's the one Kirby built.

Repost of pics of the Fender CS "Z" Esquire
that was obviously inspired by Billy's Bolin guitars shown above in post #265.

    Just for fun :)
Can anybody make out an Esquire here in this pic?
BTW, I do like some of the other guitars a lot.

Well, I see two tele headstocks (one maple board and one rosewood).

So there could be TWO Esquires in that pic. (Potentially)

Read somewhere that one of these was the long lost original Gibson Moderne.

This has nothing to do with this thread.

I just wanted to say that I had much fun with starting this thread
and keeping the pics of Billy's Esquires come as well as I very much appreciated the input and the nice words of those who contributed to this thread.
But, alas, I have to leave now.
Because the changes that were made to the TDPRI
website are pretty sure the worst that one could do.
So much more to post here, but as a user it's no longer fun for me.

However, all the best to all you folks who liked my threads/posts.

I'd post here if I had something relevant to say or show, that's fo sure.
they are going on tour soon as twitter tells me , so it can't be long.

did you overcome what came with the site changes on TDPRI?
    Keep it up man!

Well, at least I once promised to repost
the lost pics from the first five pages of this thread.

Here's what is still to repost.
These gnarly beauties were played during the
    2000 XXX-Tour.
    Guitars again Bolin made.

Not exactly an Esquire but very close to it.
This guitar was a collaboration of Billy Gibbons and the Fender CS.
Billy got three of this model. The one pictured went to Mike Eldred and was now for sale in a big store at the west coast.

That guitar above starts to inspire me to convert my Trem-Strat into a Hardtail.
Can anybody please recommend a good replacemet HT bridge?
Years ago I read about a Tailfeather bridge. Can't find their website. Probaly wrong spelling by me?

I will remove all 3 p/ups and will try to install a Tele SD BG 1400 in the bridge position. Anybody already did that?
